This map gives a glimpse of how to get to the Bears Ears Summer Gathering and Run located in Manti La-Sal Forest in Bears Ears National Monument in San Juan County, Utah.

We recommend taking highway 95 on the paved road through the bears ears twin buttes through Elk Mountain, in case Cottonwood Wash sees rain and may be more difficult to travel through. Expect no cell phone or internet service with intermittent service happening at various high points, so have your maps and routes planned out beforehand with none of those services available to you.

Important reminders: This area is remote and there is plenty of wild animals and forest. Have enough fuel to get there and back in your vehicles. Pack plenty of water and food just in case. Make sure you are able to communicate what routes you will take with other family and friends so in case you do have difficulty they know where you are.

Thank you, friends and runners. Have a good time there and be safe!
